The two EVS workers we met were welcoming, and the room itself was very clean. They deserve credit. The front desk experience, though, was frustrating, with dismissive staff and poor communication. Our room still wasn't ready 20 minutes after check-in, and the agents seemed confused until my husband insisted they check. Other guests got a welcome bag and details about breakfast and drink hours; we got neither. Even though we'd paid in full through a booking site, they charged us an unexpected $50 deposit. We had reserved a king but found a queen instead. At checkout, the agent insisted it was a king and brushed off my comment that my husband didn't fit. I asked for a timestamped receipt to document the deposit, but she said she couldn't access one and Expedia would send it. That's wrong, since I hadn't booked through Expedia.

We've now stayed here for our honeymoon in 2023 and our 3rd anniversary last week, and both times felt spoiled. The suites are roomy, and the view from the 14th floor was spectacular. We were glad to spot the state capital and downtown from our window. We only went out one day, for lunch at Bricktown Brewery, and it was well worth the visit. We also hadn't realized there were 2 free drinks each evening. We ordered dinner from the hotel restaurant nightly and ate privately in our room. I had steak every night, while my Husband picked a different entree each time: steak the first night, porkchops the second, and lemon chicken the last. Every salad, entree, and appetizer was delicious, with no complaints about the food. We went to the indoor pool twice and found it empty both times. Aside from a minor injury at the pool, the whole stay was heavenly.

The beds alone mean we won't return, even though the hotel is beautiful and clean. My sister and I had a double room, and both of us could feel the springs through the hardest mattresses ever. I don't normally have back issues, but my back felt “twisty” for a full week afterward. The rooms were expensive, and even the toilet paper was the cheapest, roughest stuff. There were plastic cups in the room too. This was lipstick on a pig, truly beyond disappointing. A motel six would have been more comfortable for less. We always stay at Embassy Suites, but the owners seem cheap about everything, and the beds are a ridiculous place to cut corners.

The employees brought a lot of warmth to the stay. Everyone seemed in a good mood, even when they only said hello or good morning, and the customer service was amazing. I've stayed elsewhere where staff seem lackluster and don't want to be there, so the difference stood out. The lobby and room were nice and clean, though there were a few easy-to-miss strands of hair on the bathroom walls. The bed was fairly comfortable; the pillows were a little flat but okay. We had wonderful views from the 9th floor. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of drink choices and more food options than you usually see in a free breakfast. The lobby where it was served got crowded in the morning, and it was hard to find a seat without someone glaring because we were close by. Still, it was a wonderful trip.

The hotel was great, and the staff were just as good. My room was on the 16th floor behind the elevator shaft, and I could hear vibration noise around the 14th floor. They moved us to an upgraded room, but I loved the CORNER ROOM and its style. I think the hotel being full made the noise especially noticeable because the elevator was constantly in use. I'll stay here on every OKC visit, but will ask for the “LAKE VIEW SIDE,” away from the elevators. Thyssenkrupt or whatever elevator service company should be called.
