Meridian Inn Oklahoma City

I was there for two weeks, and it stayed very quiet. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, and the same front desk guy was friendly and helpful each time I saw him. The door latch was broken, though, and the maid woke me up by coming in three times a week.

It was about what I expected from a cheap room until I saw the roaches. One was on the bed, several crossed the floor, and I counted a couple on the wall. I have zero tolerance for that. Yuck, I won’t be back.

The location was the one good thing. They didn’t mention when I booked that there’d be a $40 cash deposit for the key card. The room was dated, had only one battery in the remote, too few towels and rags, a nasty phone, and something questionable on the headboard. There was no safety lock, no lamps, no complimentary soap or shampoo, and hardly any TV channels worked. The door looked kicked in and wouldn’t close all the way. There was no breakfast, despite the ad.

The outside had me a little worried because it really doesn’t look like the remodeled inside, but we ended up having a great stay with no issues. The rooms were extremely clean. We’d heard about a pool, but it turned out to be seasonal and we were a week early, so we missed out. This wasn’t our first choice, but we settled on it, and sometimes a spur-of-the-moment decision works out. Thanks for the hospitality Meridian, I’d stay again when I’m back in the City.
