Traveler’s Inn & Suites Oklahoma City Airport

The room was filthy, even though the bed had been made. The windows were dirty on the inside, there were child stickers on the headboard, and stains showed on the bed when I pulled back the covers. It also smelled like someone had just smoked in the “non-smoking” room. I’d noticed suspicious activity while I was waiting to book, and after seeing the room I left and asked for a refund. I hope they really do refund me. I strongly wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re desperate.

The first room seemed fine during the walk-through, so I unpacked my clothes, shower things, and shaver and got settled. Then I opened the cabinets and found swarms of roaches. It looked like whoever sprayed for bugs had skipped the corners and seams inside them. Disgusting. They moved me to the room next door, where a young construction worker played loud chopped-and-screwed music the night before work and whenever he wasn’t working. The whole stay was awful. I would’ve appreciated getting my money back. It wasn’t worth $10, let alone $50. I’d give it negative stars if I could.

For $45 with a coupon from a truck stop magazine, this was a good deal. The room was fairly clean, though the floor looked like it needed vacuuming. It was quiet apart from some loud cars and music between 9 and 11. The bed was comfortable and seemed to have clean linens, and the hot water lasted forever.

It’s clean and mostly quiet, and if all you need is a cheap place to sleep, it does the job. Just don’t expect much more. You get what you pay for.
