Western Motel

For under $300 a week with all bills paid, you get a room and shower, gas stations just down the road, and retail stores all around. You can even watch some beautiful aircraft land 🛬.

I cut myself on the broken soap dispenser in the shower and told the manager, who just looked at me. There was gum on the wall behind the headboard too. The only outlets were being used by the air conditioner, fridge, microwave, and TV, so I couldn’t charge my phone without unplugging something.

This place was unbelievably smelly and dirty. I know from looking at it that it’s not the classiest motel around, but that’s no excuse for the staff, two women, to be so rude. They stopped what they were doing and gave us blatantly nasty glares, then came over to tell my friend he couldn’t have visitors. I was there less than half an hour in the daytime because he badly needed help and a ride. The hateful looks and tone were totally unnecessary, classy place or not. Clearly a trap motel.

The people here are friendly, and I believe they’re working hard to make this place as good as it can be. But the rooms are very subpar right now. If you want nice furnishings, carpeting, and the amenities people are used to, check into the room before renting it. They’re trying to fix up all the rooms, but haven’t reached every one yet. I hope to see the improvements myself.
