Wyndham Garden Oklahoma City North

The thermostat and TV in our room weren't working, and after the AC was finally fixed, we came back to a strong marijuana smell coming into the room. We had to move. The second floor seemed to have a lot of local riff raf, and the people staying there seemed very suspect. This didn't feel like a good place for families. Staff service was below average, and I'm terribly disappointed in this Wyndham.

We had three rooms for a family gathering and asked three times for cups and towels, but nothing arrived. One towel put in our room on the second day had makeup on it. The person at the counter stayed on the phone for ten minutes before acknowledging us. Our bathtub was chipped, with sharp edges, and the room was dusty. At 100pm, we couldn't get Amy service in the bar and dining area.

The pool was really nice, and I liked the rooms having no outdoor entrance. The location is great, too. We ate at the bar and had drinks. It was a little pricey, but the food was good and so were the drinks. The rooms are nice, and I like what they've done with the place. The lights in the bar area look great. The front desk was fairly friendly overall, though the woman was warmer than the men. When I asked one guy a question, he acted like it was dumb.

The inside looks beautiful and the amenities seem nice, but our stay was a mess. We arrived Friday afternoon, and the grounds looked like nobody had handled the yard in two months. We were first given a room with two queens instead of the king suite we'd booked, though the desk fixed that. In the next room, there was no hot water at all at 7pm, 4am, or 9am. Staff gave us different explanations, including that there were limits on water temperature, they were working on it, and they couldn't fix it, before offering to move us. In the third room, I ran the tub and sink for ten minutes before we moved our things, and there was still no hot water. We moved to another wing. The fourth room had hot water in the tub and shower but not the sink. Both evenings, around 8pm, the power went out for less than a minute. At 3:25am, the fire alarm went off, and the desk said someone had been smoking in a room. I'm not sure whether that was true. The alarm rang for 15 minutes before they stopped it. Half the hotel was closed for renovation, and both the pool and hot tub were closed. None of that was disclosed before we arrived. This could be a really nice place, but management and staff need to do more.
