Bee and Thistle Inn

The food was a little underwhelming for the price, and I wish the menu gave more detail. Still, the dining room was beautiful, with intimate, romantic seating, cozy fireplaces, and friendly staff. A decent experience overall.

Reservations are necessary, and you’ll be offered a first or second seating unless you ask. If you want a table by one of the many fireplaces, be sure to request it. We had to ask to change our seats after the first attempt, and they were very accommodating. Our server was charming and attentive, and the food was delicious with hot, cozy tea. I’d been here for “High Tea” before, and things have changed since it changed hands. Some changes were good, others disappointing, but I’ll definitely come back.

I was here for a wedding, and the crew got everything set up with the vendors quickly, even with a rainstorm. The rooms were so cozy they felt like staying in a colonial museum, and the artwork was amazing, though that’s subjective. My bed was soft and smooth. The shower faucet had a little trick to it, but nothing major. I can’t say enough good things about B&T.

The outdoor grounds are beautiful for a ceremony, cocktails, or a reception, with dinner indoors. We were there as the entertainment for Max and Anne’s wedding and worked with Tosh and her team. The food and service were phenomenal, everyone was easy to work with, and the wedding flowed smoothly. I’d highly recommend The Bee and Thistle as a wedding venue.
