The suite had plenty of room, and the staff were good. It was also handy for both the Mystic Aquarium and Mystic Museum, with nice restaurants nearby. Breakfast was the weak spot: not many choices, and the food tasted bland. The apples were good, at least.

After a five-hour drive to celebrate our 20th anniversary in Mystic, where we first met, we arrived to find the Holiday Inn Express closed because of a broken pipe. We’d booked more than two months ahead, but nobody had called or warned us. On a holiday weekend, far from home and with no nearby rooms available, we ended up at the Best Western Mystic. Stephan at the front desk was incredibly professional and understanding. He found us a lovely, clean room, arranged a discount for the three nights, and brought complimentary coffee and tea. He also put us in a quiet part of the hotel so we could recover from a stressful day. The rooms, amenities, and hotel were all lovely and clean. It was a perfect base for walking around old mystic, and we’d recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Stephan, thank you for making the stay stress-free. You’re amazing!

The staff knew the area and were helpful, and the location made it easy to get to attractions and places to eat. Breakfast was adequate, with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available in the lobby around the clock. Our room and bathroom were clean, with a fridge, coffeemaker, and microwave. The hotel is older and spacious, with some upgrades.

The bed was comfortable, and our room was quiet and clean. This is a two-story hotel within walking distance of Olde Mystic Village and a few restaurants. In the off season, though, snow still covered the sidewalks even though it hadn’t snowed for three weeks, making the walk a bit treacherous. The parking lot also hadn’t been fully plowed, so several spaces were unusable. The front desk staff were knowledgeable and kind. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the lobby were free and replenished regularly. Breakfast was included each day, with eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt and toppings, bread, muffins, bagels, cream cheese, and PBJ. There’s an outdoor pool for summer and a workout room with enough equipment to stay active.

I’ve stayed at the Best Western mystic hotel several times. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, and breakfast is delicious. It’s close to Mystic and its little shops, and Foxwoods is only about a 15-minute drive away.
