It was in a nice location, but the place smelled like dog pee and the furniture was really uncomfortable. I know this is the only pet-friendly part of the aloutte property, but for what it costs, the beds should at least be comfortable. I left a day early.

The house has an amazing amount of space, and Alouette gave excellent service. We rented their beach house on the corner of Morrison for a big gathering of several families, 10 people altogether. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, and there's a dining room, beautiful kitchen, WiFi, and upper deck. Downstairs has a sitting room and a living room with very comfortable furniture. The beach is a VERY short walk away.

The room was basic and very small, with a tiny bathroom, and it was on the road. At $199 a night, that was a lot. Then at check-in they made a big upsell push: “Oh, we’ve has some cancellations and for $75 more a night you can have a beach view. How about $50.? Don’t you want to see the rooms before you decide?” Ick.

We love Alouette's Beach House, but the parking setup is a problem. After paying over $8000 for our stay, we had to compete for one of the narrow spaces, which are sometimes flooded or muddy, with people paying the general rate of $200 a night. That just isn't right.

We were in room number 9 wind song, with a great view and just a few steps to the beach. We could hear the ocean all night. The kitchenette was nice, the bathroom tiny, and breakfast was included and great. The staff were awesome. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!
