Marvin Gardens Motel

The beach was an easy walk away, and we really enjoyed the pool. We had enough room for me, my wife, and our baby, and even brought a griddle to cook in the unit. It could use more lighting, though. With the shades drawn over the bay window, the room gets really dark. Still, we loved staying here.

A clean little cottage at a fair price for Old Orchard Beach, with everything we needed, plus a deck to relax on and Direct TV with lots of channels. The Wi-Fi was honestly pretty bad, and some units sit right on the main road, so road noise might bother you if you're sensitive to it. It wasn't too bad for us. I also think a queen bed would be better.

The room felt very dim with just one light, and the bathroom window had no curtain for privacy. There was no safety lock on the door either. The place needs a lot of work, both for its overall condition and cleanliness.

We didn't stay and had to book somewhere else. When we arrived to check in, the door was open, the kids' beds had no sheets, and the mattresses were uncovered, dirty, and covered with black hairs. There were no towels, the floors were dirty, and my truck was bigger than the building. Other guests checking in were unhappy too. I heard one woman ask if the room had even been cleaned, and saw people leave to find another place. It was hard to reach anyone for help, and there was no office. We were really unhappy with the whole experience.
