The room itself was beautiful, clean, peaceful, and had a lovely beachfront balcony. The huge relaxing tub was beautiful too, though for the price of this particular room I expected it might have jets. We paid $250 a night in the off season, which felt steep when the elevator, parking area, and stairway were so dark, dated, and dirty. There was a dirty glass in the cupboard when we arrived. Our housekeeper said she doesn't and won't do dishes, so guests have to handle them, and I really wasn't happy about that. Breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was nice, served by a friendly, hardworking waitress. The owner's daughter, or possibly part-owner, was pleasant and professional. We'd come back, but I'd ask for a maid who doesn't demean us or shirk her responsibilities.

For the two of us, the econo room at the Beach Walk worked perfectly during shoulder season. The small fridge and microwave were handy, and I especially liked having a real coffee pot so we could make coffee the way we like it. The beach was just steps away. Staff checked in after a day to see if we needed anything, and everyone was super friendly. The front desk was incredibly kind and accommodating, and gave us great places to eat. A+ stay, we'll definitely be back!

We found Alouette Beach Resort at the last minute while visiting from Michigan, and we loved it. Rates were quite reasonable, the room was very clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Sunrise and moonrise views were breathtaking. The resort sits right in the middle of Old Orchard Beach, just steps from the beach and everything to see. We loved leaving the slider open to hear the waves. My wife and I had a great time and look forward to staying again. Highly recommend!

We didn't get to use the heated indoor pool, though the quick look we got as we passed by made it seem well maintained. Our room was clean, cozy, and nicely decorated, with a bathroom in a funky shape that still did the job. The beach was less than a minute away on foot from our door, and we were in one of the buildings closest to the lobby. For us, that location was worth the price. Alouette Beach Resort feels like a hidden gem, and we can't wait to return.

The whole place has the beachy atmosphere I want, and I look forward to coming back every year. Some rooms are nicer than others, but they're generally nice. I'm just steps from the beach and can walk downtown in the evening. It feels like my home away from home.
