Sea View Inn

There’s a private walkway to the beach, and the stretch there is peaceful, away from the big noisy crowds by the pier. The pool area was a highlight, with plenty of chairs, grills, umbrellas, and tables for relaxing. We felt safe the whole time, and our rooms were very clean. The facility was well maintained. Check-in was a little confusing because we didn’t know it had to be done at a different location. We also never found the gym, but it wasn’t a big deal.

We booked an ocean view room, but from inside it faced the parking lot and the next building. To see the water, you have to go out on the deck. The bathroom is small and dirty, with cigarette burns on the bathtub. I wish it looked like the online pictures. We checked in at the Waves lobby three blocks away, where the front desk was cordial and explained how to get to the room. Hopefully the rest of the stay will be good.

For $280 a night, this room was completely not worth it. It smelled old, wasn’t spacious, and the floor in the bathroom had a soft spot that felt unstable. The bathroom also leans forward. The TV didn’t work, and the decor felt very grandma-ish, with no style at all. The location was pretty and the staff were fine, but there aren’t other hotels around here at a lower price, so apparently they can charge what they want. Unacceptable. Don’t stay here, it’s not worth it.

We stayed on the third floor in an oceanfront room with two queen beds and a kitchenette. It was very clean, the view was amazing, and everyone was friendly. The pool was very hot, but we could use the cold water pool at OceanHouse next door. We’d go back.
