Liberty Inn

For the area, the price is hard to beat. Check-in was easy, and they let us arrive early. It's an older two-floor hotel with exterior doors and no elevator, but the rooms have been renovated. Ours was clean and a good size, and I liked having a table and two chairs so we could both sit, which you don't often get at chain motels. The big AC worked well and sat at the back of the room, so it didn't blow on the bed. Maid service came daily, also not something you see everywhere these days. There was no tissue box, and the highway right beside it meant a fair amount of road noise. There's a continental breakfast, but we didn't try it, so I can't say how it was.

My family drove in from central PA for a long weekend and stayed at Liberty Inn. It wasn't fancy, but it was clean and the staff were incredibly friendly. The continental breakfast was included, just as promised, which helped make the stay a good one. I'd gladly come back if we travel to Conneticut again.

It was advertised in about 10 different places for $85, but when I arrived he quoted me $109. I showed him the listings, and he called it false advertising. When I questioned that, he told me to go to the Super 8. Maybe the hotel is clean, but the whole thing felt very suspect. False advertising?

I had a terrible experience. I was traveling to the area for a family vacation and had planned to use the hotel as a rest stop. I canceled my reservation and never came for the stay, but my card was charged twice for services I never received. When I called to politely question the charge, I was rudely told, "too bad even if you didn't come we will charge for no show". Management was disrespectful and unreasonable. If you care about your money, time, and sanity, don't book here.
