Best Western Plus Desoto

The staff here were attentive, and there’s plenty of parking. I’d briefly stayed at the other Best Western Plus in Olive Branch, and the service here felt very different. The room was modern and clean, with a comfortable bed that made for a wonderful night’s sleep. The bathroom only has a shower, which worked fine for me. There’s an indoor pool with long hours and a 24-hour gym, plus supermarkets and restaurants close by. Breakfast was good, though potatoes would be a nice addition. I’d happily recommend this hotel and come back.

On our last visit, Anna from the laundry department was covering for the breakfast employee. She gave us great service, and we had a lovely time talking with her. She was awesome!

Not bad, but there aren’t any vending machines if you want a drink or snack. They do sell things at the hotel, though. A 16 oz Dr Pepper was $4 and a pack of M&Ms was $4. DoorDash would have been cheaper.

My family loved the pool and conference room, and we felt safe, slept well, and had everything we needed nearby. The staff made us feel at home. I also really liked the shower pressure and temperature. There are things that need work. The curtains should close properly and be blackout curtains. Some air purifiers and discreet air fresheners would help, too. The furniture and drawers could be cleaner, there should be more towels without having to ask, and daily room service check-ins would make the stay more comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing, with cold coffee one day and very limited options that looked sad. I was also told late checkout would cost $20, though it should be free. My debit card was charged twice, and that still hasn’t been resolved. I try to be understanding, but I hope management makes these upgrades because the place has potential.
