We stayed at the hotel at 6860 Goodman in Olive Branch Ms from 10/11-10/12/25, and it was horrible. A stranger was given a key to my sister’s and my room by the front desk. I was changing when he walked in. The only compensation they offered my sister was a 15% discount on a future stay there. The front desk gave no help when my sister tried to speak with management, and threatened to call the police over her questions. She wasn’t rude, and the lobby camera would show that. We were told it was a franchise, there was no corporate number, and the general manager was the owner. They gave us the card with the hotel’s phone number and said to call Monday and ask for Sam. Since Brooke/Holly threatened to call the police on my sister, I asked for the police to be called, and she did. She had told me her name was Holly and my sister her name was Brooke. When police asked for the corporate number, the one she gave them belonged to a different hotel chain. I found the right number on CHATGPT. My sister spoke with a live person, who said we’d get a response within 72 hours. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

The lobby was pleasant enough, with a breakfast dining area and a TV lounge, and the whole place smelled clean. Still, some visitors smoked weed, so that smell was around too. The market is just two poorly stocked vending machines, with no microwavable food, quick snacks, toiletries, or drinks like you might expect. Our room was decent, but the couch and pullout mattress had concerning stains. The desk said they would need to move us, but we stayed because the person using it was okay covering the stains with sheets. There was water damage by the bathroom vent, the shower shelf was missing, and the floating nightstand between the queen beds looked like it might detach from the wall at any moment. It’s a short drive to some good restaurants, and the hotel is tucked away from the road, so there’s less traffic noise. The parking lot has security cameras, though it’s unclear whether that’s a feature or a necessity. If you just need a secure place to rest, it may work. For more comforts inside the hotel, I’d choose the Fairfield in Snowden Grove. Outside, that hotel has a beautiful newly renovated area with lots of shops and restaurants. I’d been drawn here by the 4.3-star rating, and at first it seemed to have everything I expected. Looking closer, though, the issues made me feel it didn’t deserve that rating.

The room was clean and seemed quite new, with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was the usual budget hotel continental spread, edible but nothing fancy. A few things didn’t work well: the bedside wall chargers didn’t charge our phones overnight, and the side entrance doors that are supposed to need a key don’t shut all the way by themselves. They’re often left ajar, so you can get in without a key. The vending machines were mostly empty, too. At check-in, the front desk staff member had no personality and seemed to barely speak English.

The room was very clean, and both the coffee and breakfast were really good. The agent was very helpful. We’d definitely stay again.

Everything was great and very clean. What stood out most was the service. The employees were kind and personable.
