Comfort Suites Uniontown

After an 8-hour drive, I needed a nap, and the front desk clerk made the stay worthwhile. I don’t know her name, but she had blondish-brown hair and worked Monday the 19th in the morning. I’m originally from Uniontown and was there because of an emergency. She kept on top of the rooms and breakfast while also managing the desk. I’m a hotel manager at another chain, and I have a lot of respect for how she handled the whole building. She deserves a raise or something. She was amazing, and the company should be proud of her dedication. I’ll stop in again next time I’m nearby if she’s working.

The pool wasn’t heated, so the kids couldn’t swim with it 5 degrees outside and around 25 degrees in the pool room. Guests should be told about that. The mini fridge didn’t get cold, either. The whole wing smelled like an Indian meat market on the Silk Road. Disgusting. I emailed the GM directly on 2/2/25 and still haven’t heard back. Zero stars. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The facility was clean, the rooms were normal, and the location was handy for food and shopping. The pool, though, was useless because it wasn’t heated, or its heater was broken and needed fixing. The staff on Sunday and Monday shouldn’t be in customer service unless they get training. Saying “NO” to a customer face to face isn’t the way to handle things. Ignoring someone, or promising to do something and then not following through, is another big no-no. If you tell a customer you’ll take care of something, do it. The girl at the desk Saturday afternoon, Dec. 27, was the best. I didn’t get her name, but she was a bright spot at the start of an otherwise dim stay.

The staff were very nice, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. It’s a decent mid-level hotel, close to the Frank Lloyd Wright houses and not too far from Pittsburgh. Rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was the usual, clean and nice but short on variety. Staff told me Comfort no longer offers bacon or ham, which was disappointing. Some wall paint was chipped, an easy, cheap fix. There’s only one slow elevator, and mud was everywhere because of the oil workers staying there.
