Wingate by Wyndham Uniontown

The bathroom was updated, with a lighted LED mirror, lots of towels, and wall-mounted shampoo and conditioner that were a nicer grade and smelled lovely. I hate those usual tiny bottles that smell like hospital floor cleaner, so I was happy with the products here. Breakfast had the standard waffles, cereal, bagels, and muffins, plus surprisingly good coffee. The front desk staff were very courteous, and the hotel was lovely for the money. I'd definitely stay again.

The rooms were clean, the towels looked brand new and were fluffy, and the rate was the best. The renovations look great, and the front desk person was friendly. Our first room had no heat, but they moved us right away after we reported it. After that, though, we barely got any rest. Children ran up and down the hall from around 7 pm, and by 9 there was a loud argument with at least two men cursing. Around 10, a very loud dog barked in the hallway, then did it twice more during the night. Around 1 am, children were running and shouting again while an adult woman yelled after them. A fire alarm chirped in the hall all night, like it needed a new battery. This could have been a great find, but we got very little sleep.

We will never stay at Wingate by Wyndham in Uniontown again. The staff were rude, and the hotel itself looked like it was falling apart. Our first room had black mold in the bathroom. When we complained, they moved us to a larger room, but there was no apology or offer to make things right. The toilet leaked, the room smelled like rotten eggs, and it wasn't clean. There were stains on the lampshades, a dirty couch, and spots on the nightstands and tables. After finding the mold, I should have asked for my money back and gone to a better hotel. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It deserves zero stars.

We got no maid service during our two-day stay, and paint chips were falling from the ceiling. The accessible room we booked had bathroom equipment that was all broken and useless. Go to breakfast early, because there isn't enough food.
