Embassy Suites by Hilton Omaha Downtown Old Market

The place feels recently renovated, with a clean, modern look that still feels cozy. I especially appreciated the Hilton happy hour and its complimentary drinks and snacks. Michael, the bartender, made it even better with quick, professional service. It was nice to get a knowledgeable person’s take on what’s around, especially when so much has been replaced by remote computer voices. Looking forward to staying again.

The staff made Embassy Suites Omaha Downtown Old Market feel like a home away from home. The front desk team was friendly and attentive day and night, the valet was prompt and professional, and the bar service was excellent. A really welcoming stay from beginning to end.

Breakfast was a highlight, with made-from-scratch omelettes and pancakes, lots of choices, and a buffet too. Before my flight, I spent a couple of hours at the bar with a phenomenal bartender. I’m terrible with names, but I’m pretty sure she was Kendra. Definitely stop by to see her. The room was great, with a good bed and heater, though the bathrooms could use an update. My only real gripe was parking: valet came to $31 after fees, while parking two blocks away was $25 after fees. I’m not a fan of that at all. I’ll definitely stay here again if I’m back in Omaha.

The staff made this hotel feel special throughout our stay. The bartender the evening before the function, everyone working during it, the breakfast crew, housekeeping, the woman at checkout, and the chef were all fantastic. At breakfast, the egg and omelet staff were especially great. I only caught Portia’s name. We were here for a function and stayed overnight. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we both slept like logs. Breakfast was good too. The group dinner was surprisingly good for a large event: the charcuterie starters were very good, the salmon wasn’t overdone despite the group size, and both it and the steak board were excellent surprises. The vegetables were nicely spiced and not overcooked, and the chef came by to check on us. We also tried the bread pudding after hearing it was one of the chef’s specialties. I’ve been to large luncheons here that weren’t nearly as good. For a function, it’s worth splurging on the best they offer. The staff really made the difference, including the lovely chef.
