The bartender was welcoming, and that helped make dinner at the Omaha Marriott Downtown at the Capitol District a nice experience. I ordered the smashburger with truffle fries. The burger was juicy and cooked just right, the fries had good seasoning, and everything tasted fresh and carefully prepared. I’ve often found that chefs at Marriott restaurants seem to take pride in their food, and this meal felt the same. If you’re staying at the hotel or walking around the Capitol District, it’s a good spot for a burger and fries.

I was in town for a conference and found everything at the Marriott Omaha at the Capitol District ran smoothly. The conference facilities felt thoughtfully laid out, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the location was very convenient. A local friend joined me at the hotel bar one evening. General Manager Carlo came over to check that we were enjoying ourselves, and his hospitality made the night especially memorable. I’d choose this hotel again next time I’m in Omaha.

I had a work deadline to meet, and the business lounge made that easy. It was quiet, welcoming, and roomy enough to spread everything out and plug in my laptop. The drinks and snacks were a nice touch, too. I was very happy with how convenient the space was.

Inside the hotel was immaculate, as usual, and the staff were extremely polite. But the pool area was packed, chaotic, and covered in trash. We found full bins, McDonald’s wrappers, beer cans, tumbleweaves, shower caps, and diapers scattered around. The website shows a peaceful, clean pool; they should post a picture of what it actually looked like. We won’t be coming back.
