I spent about a month here, and several staff members made the stay better. Jennifer at the desk was thoughtful from check-in, brought things to my room, and checked that I was comfortable. Alan was kind and efficient, and let me look at a few rooms before moving. David and Ben helped move my things, Michael in the dining area made me feel welcome, and the evening desk associate was friendly too. The heated, carpeted stairwells were also a small plus when one of the two elevators was out, especially since I was on the fourth floor. The main problem was my interactions with Erika, the manager. I moved rooms because of highway noise and was told I could put larger items in storage since I couldn’t move everything that day. When I later called to arrange it, Erika’s response felt dismissive and transactional. She kept emphasizing that the hotel hadn’t been required to make earlier accommodations. Being offered a solution and then spoken to harshly when I tried to use it left me feeling uncomfortable, as if I was asking too much. Similar issues came up around towels, and eventually I felt like my presence was an inconvenience. There were other problems over the stay: both the in-room mini fridge and a second one provided later made loud mechanical noises off and on. Towel availability was inconsistent, and I had to exchange used towels to get clean ones. The pool shower ran cold even when set to hot, and the pool smelled strongly of bleach. I also didn’t see any recycling or composting options. Between these issues and the way management treated me, I felt unwelcome and won’t return. I’d choose another hotel next time.

We needed a room on short notice on a Friday night, just a few hours after calling, and the price was reasonable. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and our small dog was welcome, which was a big reason we chose this place. It seemed fairly new and well cared for. The full breakfast was a pleasant surprise, and a small issue we had was taken care of quickly. One heads-up: the check-in kiosk took ages to load, and once you start the process, you can’t cancel it. Two other groups were checked in at the desk before the machine finally gave us our keys. I’d go straight to the front desk for now.

I felt safe here the whole time, which means a lot to me as a woman traveling alone. For the price and the cheerful staff, I thought the stay was worth it. I was there for four nights and met plenty of employees. Every one seemed to know what they were doing, with sincere smiles and a real sense that they enjoy the job. The breakfast adds a lot of value. There were different daily choices of potatoes or biscuits and gravy, eggs, and bacon or sausage, plus fruit, yogurt, cereal, a hands-free toaster and pancake machine, butter, peanut butter, and other extras. Juice was available in the morning, and there was a coffee machine with tea and cocoa all day. The one odd choice was shelf-stable creamer, even though a fridge was nearby and the hotel provided flavorings and honey. The pool was a decent size and very clean, as was the hot tub. There were lots of fresh towels, a shower nearby, and restrooms down the hall. The grounds were tidy, and the little shop had beer, frozen meals, snacks, and local art at decent prices. The room had interior hallways, doors that closed properly, extra locks, and working TVs. One TV didn’t work the first night. A desk clerk came up within minutes, but neither of us could figure it out, so I said it could be fixed the next day. When I returned, it had already been repaired without my needing to follow up. It does cost about two and a half times as much as the cheap hotel down the street, but I felt I got many times the value.

Alan at the front desk made booking a last-minute room during Barter Faire weekend easy, and his conversation and customer service were both great. The room was comfortable and spotless, and breakfast was delicious. Staff kept the food replenished and the breakfast area clean. Norman from maintenance also kept the pool room stocked with towels and made sure things ran smoothly. I had a wonderful stay at the Best Western in Omak, and it beat my expectations. I’ll definitely stay again. Thanks!

There’s a shopping area about a quarter mile away on foot, and the room has a great view. It’s spacious and looks nice, but don’t count on the blackout curtains blocking bright lights or a full moon. You can’t close them. The only seat besides the desk chair is a vinyl one that squeaks, feels cold, and reminded me of a clinic waiting room. The shower head could use some care, though the rest of the bathroom is ordinary. There’s a Keurig, but the coffee options are substandard if you care about your coffee. It’s a nice room, but not great, and it was quite spacious for one person.
