Dutch Inn and Suites

We were there for a wedding weekend, and the hotel was just five minutes from the venue. The updated rooms were clean, the two floors made the stairs easy to manage, and the lobby was a nice place to sit and chat with everyone. Breakfast had waffles, continental options, and really good coffee. The cleaning crew was awesome, with plenty of fresh towels when needed. We'd stay again if we needed to.

We booked at the last minute for a wedding and were pleasantly surprised by this gem. The room was clean and well kept, and the shower's great water pressure felt wonderful after a long night of dancing. The waffle machine was running low on mix, but the front desk helped me right away. We'll recommend the place and come back.

I was glad my daughter didn't come alone. The first-floor room window had no lock, and the “stick” they offered to secure it was the wrong size, so the window could still open 12 inches. The male desk clerk refused to refund us, saying the city was “safe” and the missing lock wasn't reason enough. His condescending manner made things worse. When he asked if I understood English, I decided to leave. I contacted the police, and they helped me make a report. I should've read more reviews first. Clearly, I'm not the only one who had a bad experience.

Dutch Inn and Suites is a great find in Orange City, with a good location near stores, restaurants, and other places. The rooms feel warm and inviting, and the inn is tidy and clean with great service. Management follows up to make sure guests are happy and everything is going well. I'd highly recommend Dutch Inn and Suites if you're looking for lodging in Northwest Iowa.
