The room was clean, but the place smelled really bad, and we'll never go back. The fire alarm went off when we turned on the heat, cable TV was terrible, and what the book listed wasn't what we got in the room. I'm handicapped and was treated very rudely because I had a service dog. Our toilet clogged on the first flush; the manager pointed out the plunger but wouldn't even hand it to me, saying you handle your own plumbing. Then the cleaning lady walked right into the room without checking whether anyone was there while my wife was in the bathroom. This feels like a hotel for traveling construction workers, not families or handicapped people.

We've stayed here three summers now. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the shared areas are kept up nicely, with tasteful decor. The staff were friendly, and the free breakfast was all we needed. With the AARP discount, it's a good value. Why pay more?

Nice, clean room. The desk called at 7 a.m., but I didn't want a wake-up call. I also wish breakfast had Cheerios or another gluten-free option, since I'm gluten free.

I felt unwelcome and eventually left after one week of what was meant to be a two-week stay, with the summer stay originally planned to be longer. My company booked the hotel one week at a time through orbitz. The manager kept trying to get me to have my company reserve directly so the hotel could make an extra $15 a night. I politely explained I had no say and that it was up to my company, but he kept bringing it up. He also repeatedly waited for me after my shifts at a wind farm 30 minutes away, even after I finished 12-hour days, to tell me not to do things I hadn't done. The things he mentioned were legitimate rules, but I was only being warned and it wasted my spare time. I started using the side door to avoid him, though I had to walk outside past the lobby to get there, and he'd see me and meet me at that door. Before leaving Friday, I told him I'd be back Monday, the day after my new reservation began, so he'd know I was coming and could keep the room for that night even though I wouldn't be there. After a ten-and-a-half-hour shift on Monday, I came to get my room and was told he'd canceled the reservation because my company used orbitz and I hadn't arrived Sunday. If that's the policy, that alone wouldn't have upset me. What bothered me was how pleased he seemed to be while saying the hotel was full and he'd given my room to someone else. He lectured me with a really rude smile. I just said “for sure” and left as he started. He seemed to enjoy it far too much. The room itself was nice, though the place smelled of curry.

The beds are comfortable, and this might work if you just need to crash for one night. But the place stinks like curry. Housekeeping moved my belongings and food on the table to where they thought it should go. There are only three tables in the lobby, and after a while you get the feeling you're seen as a freeloader for sitting there. If you own a hotel, don't live in it. That's bad for business.
