The alligators under the overpass on the property were very nice to see, but the food thrown in for them had rotted and made the air smell bad. That smell got into my room that night and made my headache worse. Marijuana smelled in the lobby when I walked in, and my floor reeked of it too. Walking out of my room gave me an instant headache. There are signs saying no smoking within 25 feet of the building, yet the front desk clerk came outside that night and lit a cigarette right by the entrance. The first time I checked in, the key wouldn't work, and neither would the staff. A helpful guy went back down the stairs to switch rooms and brought the paperwork up for me to sign. The pictures don't match what the rooms actually look like. I killed three little black bugs crawling on the counter. The bathroom was clean except for hair in the tub and on the toilet seat. The bed was okay, Wi-Fi worked, and the refrigerator got really cold. Checkout was easy: slide the key under the dropped cage, and someone checks you out when they retrieve it.

The entrance doors don't open automatically, which made lugging bags in and out really frustrating. The rooms may get four-star reviews because of the staff and location, but my stay was very disappointing. There were food splatters on the walls, refrigerator, and headboard. The elevator was dirty inside and out, and looked like it wasn't regularly vacuumed or cleaned. The shower floor and faucets were only partly clean, with visible stains, and the room smelled terrible. I won't return and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and Ms. Jamarra at the front desk was a huge help. Booking.com had put us through a tough refund situation, and she helped my girl and me extend our stay directly through them at a very good rate. The service was very good.

Our AC stopped working, but Jeff dropped everything to get it fixed perfectly. He replaced the whole unit, so we didn't have to change rooms, and I really appreciated that. The room is perfectly cold now. The staff go out of their way to keep you comfortable and happy, and Jeff especially stands out for being friendly, caring, and great at his job.
