Best Western Plus Meridian Inn & Suites, Anaheim-Orange

The shuttle to Disney was convenient, and breakfast had great options. Our room was comfortable, and the staff were accommodating. The first room looked great but smelled like vomit, so the very nice front desk staff moved us to another at no extra charge. That one was still very nice, though there was still an odd smell from somewhere in the room, less potent than before.

After a full day of travel, I couldn't get into my prepaid room for over an hour and a half. My family had booked three rooms, but my Dad couldn't make the trip. His unused room was nonrefundable, which I understand. What made no sense was charging us for the rooms we came to use and then not letting us use them. The elevator was broken, trash was all over the hallways and common areas, and most breakfast machines were broken or hadn't been refilled. I had the “suite,” but the mattress was so worn out it sank in the middle. I've slept on better mattresses at motel 6. The staff probably shouldn't be in customer service. They didn't smile. I can see why the desk clerk wouldn't look me in the eye while he screwed my family and me, but maybe better business practices would let him communicate directly and respectfully.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast went smoothly even though the hotel was sold out for the holiday and college graduations. It got very busy, but they kept the food coming, and the eggs were excellent. Sitting in the courtyard was relaxing. It was our first stay, and the spacious room and hotel layout surprised us in a good way. We've made this our first choice when visiting the area.

Our rooms were spacious, a perfect refuge after long days out, and we're already recommending the property to friends who've stayed here too. This is our second family visit. We first came in January, enjoyed the stay and staff so much that we knew we'd return when we were in the area. The location is great, near Disney, the outlets, and good food. Ana at the front desk was professional, helpful, and so kind. She worked with us on the first stay and helped with our second booking, which we really appreciate. Tanya and Fabi in the dining room were friendly, kept the breakfast buffet stocked, and were very accommodating. Roman and Michelle were on the front desk this visit, and were just as kind and welcoming. We'll definitely stay again and keep recommending BW+ Meridian. Keep up the great work! P.s.
