Fairfield Inn Orangeburg

For a quick night on a long drive, the value and service were great. Breakfast tasted good, and even though I arrived a little late, they waited so I could get what I wanted. The staff were a delight throughout my stay. When the TV in my room had a problem, they moved me to another room right away.

I’d stay here again for a night while passing through. It was quiet, the staff were kind, the bed was really comfortable, and the shower had good heat and pressure. The breakfast was decent, though the mildew on the coffee filter in my room put me off making coffee there. I like to brew a cup to start the day. The room itself didn’t smell, and I’m pretty sensitive to that. The place is a little dated, including paper numbers on the doors, which looked odd. Still, when you’re driving around and need somewhere affordable, safe, clean, comfortable, and caring, that matters.

The staff were great, and restaurants are easy to get to from here. Our large room was very clean and bigger than the rooms we’ve had at other Marriott-owned hotels. I’d rate the stay five stars if the breakfast area hadn’t been under renovation. The food was squeezed into the gym, and it wasn’t the usual full spread.

The breakfast spread was great, and every woman we dealt with was a pleasure. The staff made the renovation easy to overlook, and I’d absolutely stay here again.
