Suburban Studios Orangeburg

There were no pans, utensils, or plates like at other extended stay hotels, and the room cleaning was subpar. There was an unknown brown liquid on the bathroom floor and next to the bed. The drains were partly clogged, and the bed frame outlet clicked and was hard to unplug. When I asked for items, the service was there, but I was rudely interrupted. The door didn't latch right either, so I had to use the door stop to keep someone from just pushing it open from outside.

Our first stay here, and it won't be our last. The room was lovely and spacious, with all the amenities we needed, including a refrigerator, microwave, and stove. It felt like a real studio apartment. The front desk staff were super friendly and welcoming. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The room was stark and hard, with an echo, and light and noise from the parking lot came in under the door. The McDonald's next door seemed to be having some kind of disco party, while people stomping up and down the stairs outside were just a little annoying. Loud mariachi music and bass drums started thumping about 20 minutes into my stay. The parking lot smelled like pot, and the odor got stronger in the lobby. They didn't tell me breakfast hours at check-in, so I called the front desk. I was told my booked room had a hotplate, which meant I didn't get breakfast. When I left, I saw people from the same type of rooms standing around eating breakfast. Apparently they didn't get the memo. I survived the night.

The bed was great and the pillows were awesome. The room wasn't bad, and they'd done some upgrades, but the floor was really dirty. I couldn't walk around without my feet getting black. There was construction dust and paint overspray on the mirrors and in the shower. The bathroom exhaust fan didn't work, so the room got pretty humid.
