DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando Downtown

The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the pricing works well for us. Academics don’t do the work of educating the next generations for the pay, lol, so we appreciate the value and the good experience Doubletree gives us year after year. We’ve held our annual conference in Orlando for about eight years, with roughly 125 attendees. A big thanks to Kaila and Pri in the executive offices, and especially An, Tim, Jose, Sandra, and Jackie on the food service side. Kaila and Pri are new to the team, while An and the others have been with us from the beginning. They’re consistently helpful, courteous, and enthusiastic, and make the conference wonderful. The hotel could use a refresh, but we’re grateful for the experience every year. THANK YOU ALL!!!

For an overnight in town, this was great value for money. It’s close to nice restaurants and bars, right by the motorway exit, and my room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The three ladies at reception were amazing: they stored my luggage and let me use the hotel facilities for a couple of hours after checkout. Jackie’s service at the bar was excellent too. I highly recommend this place.

The location is ideal, central to downtown and close to everything we want to do, and the price is hard to beat. We’ve stayed here more than ten times and never had a cleanliness issue. Rooms are always spotless and well maintained, the restaurant and bar downstairs are excellent, and the elevators run smoothly without long waits. What really keeps us coming back is the staff. Everyone we’ve dealt with, from housekeeping and security to the front desk, has been kind, professional, and caring. Special thanks to Oliver at the front desk, who went above and beyond to sort out a double charge from Expedia. I really appreciated his help. Management deserves credit too. This is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had anywhere in Florida, and it’ll stay our go-to whenever we’re in Orlando.

The front desk staff were friendly, but that was about the only good part of my stay. My suite was roomy, but I didn’t feel comfortable in it. Little ants were across the kitchen counter, bathroom, and nightstands, even though there was food in only one of those three places. The bathroom sink felt like it could come loose with a push, the kitchen cabinets were falling apart, and the room barely cooled down even set to 60 degrees. One of the three elevators shook too much for my comfort when it reached my floor, and I wondered how it passed inspection. The valet text number wasn’t monitored attentively, so I still had to ask downstairs. I travel for work, and this was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in.
