Extended Stay America Suites Orlando Theme Parks Major Blvd

The room was clean, though old, and the smoke smell was so strong I couldn't get past it. My family and I don't smoke, but there was a cigarette butt in the trash. Everything was booked, so we couldn't switch rooms. I bought Lysol, and thankfully we were out during the day and only used the room to sleep. I left in the morning without breakfast and found another hotel. The man who took my reservation and the woman who checked me out were great. They were the only staff I saw, and the people I did meet were great. I booked this place because it was the only one available, but that smell was just too much.

Cooking for myself was the whole reason I booked an extended stay, but there were no pots, pans, or coffee maker available. Even making noodles was a struggle because the stove barely heated, after it had already failed to light. The curtain in my ground-floor room wouldn't close all the way, which left me worried someone could see in. I wanted to relax after the long drive, but the remote was wrong for the TV. I got another from the desk, only to find the screen said “no signal.” Then I noticed the missing bulb in the nightstand lamp. The freezer looked like it was barely hanging on, so my chicken, steaks, and ham weren't getting cooked either. My room often smelled like weed from people smoking in the hallway or by the window exit. My reason for staying was ruined, and I was fed up. How is this location still open? Two stars is generous.

I've lived here on and off for the past year, and it feels like home. It's close to what you need, and I haven't had any major room issues, though the rooms do need updating. Elisha and Shay make this hotel better. Their kindness, consistency, thoughtfulness, intelligence, and quick problem solving stand out. I look forward to seeing them. Since the front shut down, I see Shay less often, but she still has a smile whenever we cross paths. I'm glad Elisha is assistant manager, she deserves the role. Honestly, I'm surprised she wasn't made GM. Give these ladies a raise!

We couldn't stay because my husband had a medical reaction to something there. The property needs attention from corporate, and it seems the staff are doing their best without much support. Elisha, Sandra, and Malik were incredible. On Valentine's Day, after my husband was released from the hospital and was still in his hospital gown, they worked tirelessly to get us the last handicap room. Their kindness and hospitality deserve recognition.
