Holiday Inn Resort Orlando – Lake Buena Vista has a welcoming, family-friendly feel, and the staff were kind and professional. I had a great stay and would gladly return.

We’re here for the third time and will definitely come back. A lot of the guests we met were return visitors too, and seemed to have experiences like ours. Danny at the front desk, Judith, the pool activity person, Lisa the bartender, and everyone else make the stay personal. They take time with you and are incredibly friendly and thoughtful. The location is excellent. Hospitality done right, really can’t say enough.

The facilities are fine and the hotel has potential, but poor organization, communication, and service seriously affected our stay. The park shuttle was confusing: it picked us up at 8:15 a.m., then dropped us at a transfer area around 9, where hotel staff hadn’t told us the Magic Kingdom bus would not leave until 10. A transfer-area staff member explained that. Shuttles also stop at other hotels, so they can run late, and there are very few buses back. That can leave guests walking from the drop-off to their destination through large crowds. The breakfast buffet wasn’t worth the price, with little beyond eggs and waffles. No one asked what we wanted to drink; we had to call for help, and staff repeatedly pointed out that tips weren’t included, which felt uncomfortable. There was no self-serve water or juice either. Our room was dirty. We were offered another, but it smelled strongly musty, so we had to go back to the dirty room. On another occasion a staff member got upset when I asked for my breakfast voucher because my reservation used my middle name, though my surname and room number were correct. I wouldn’t recommend staying until these issues are addressed.

We spent 10 nights at the Holiday Inn over New Year 25/26. I was a bit nervous after reading reports about bugs, but our room was spotless, cleaned every day, and we had no issues in it. It was spacious, with two large double beds, a TV, fridge, microwave, and coffee machine with fresh coffee replenished daily. We didn’t use the pool, though plenty of others did. Applebee’s next door was a good place to eat. The location was okay, but as with most places in the US, you’ll need to drive everywhere. I’d recommend it and book again.
