The location was the best thing, with everything nearby. Staff were nice, and the bathroom was surprisingly the cleanest part of the room. The toilet looked brand new, and it was the cleanest I’ve ever seen. The shower was clean-ish, though the yellow at the bottom looked like a bath mat had been there. Hot water and pressure were fantastic. I stayed Friday night and checked out Monday morning. I believe it was room 127, on the side of the building, and it was awful. You could see light under the door, so bugs could get in, or water if it flooded. The door wiggled when shut and seemed like someone could kick it down with a few hard kicks. The lock and my faith and prayers were what made me feel a little safe. There was white caulking powder over the main sink. The microwave and fridge were disgusting. Food was splattered on the microwave door, and underneath the plate was black and gross from people reheating food there. The fridge had dried food or liquid in it. It didn’t look like they cleaned either appliance. The microwave was outdated and should be thrown away. The back of the remote was missing, so I had to touch the batteries, like I’m sure previous guests did too. Breakfast wasn’t free. The place could be nicer if they renovated some of the rooms.

The manager, Crystal, who I later found out wasn’t actually the manager, was extremely rude. I pointed out that the main bathroom had no paper towels or soap, and she said they were busy. When I mentioned the stained and torn blanket, she told me that was all they had. She also said I could check out if I didn’t like it. A few days later, after I’d begged for the room to be cleaned, I came back to find it clean but the door left open. When I complained, I was asked to leave the hotel. It’s crazy this place is still in business. It needs to be shut down.

The bed frames were wobbly and squeaked whenever we moved. The pillows were comfortable, but there wasn’t a real blanket, just a sheet and a brown curtain-like cover. One headboard had an unidentified milky white stain. We found a few dead roaches in the room too. The listing advertised free breakfast, but when we arrived we were told there wasn’t any. Every ice machine was broken except the one on the third floor, which was inconvenient since we weren’t staying on that floor. The pool was there, but its water was extremely salty and the deep end needed cleaning, with lots of leaves coating the bottom. There was no laundry room on site, so I had to find one nearby.

The young women at the front desk were very kind and helpful. The building is older and remodeled, and the room looked clean, though a few things could have been better. We were in town for business at the convention center, and the location made it easy to walk everywhere. Restaurants were close by too. Walking worked perfectly for us, and I’d stay here again.
