The bathroom was a mess: no shower shelves, two paper-thin towels, and a doorstop right in front of the shower. The water was ice cold, which was awful when I was there for graduation. It also wasn’t ADA friendly, with no shower rails, and I slipped without anything to grab. There was a twin-size “blanket” on the bed, and the room had no smoke detector. I arrived at 9pm after my flight was delayed, and was glad I hadn’t arrived later because there’s no staff after 11pm. Check-in required a $50 cash deposit, which seemed strange, and I couldn’t get it back because my flight home was at 650am. I asked the front desk for extra pillows and was told they’d check with housekeeping. I’d already told them my boyfriend and I had slept on our clothes the first night. Housekeeping later brought pillows and towels, which was nice, but the front desk then claimed housekeeping didn’t have the pillows. People living there had pitbulls that tried to attack me through the glass. I wouldn’t stay here even if it were free.

I didn’t feel safe staying here, so I cancelled the whole stay and got my deposit back. The online photos are extremely outdated. From outside, the building looked out of business, and once I arrived it reminded me of a detention center, with a depressing look and so much security surveillance. The front desk is completely closed from 7a - 11p until further notice. I wouldn’t recommend it for kids unless you’re desperate. Definitely not worth what I paid.

I was booked for five nights, but left after two. The room looked tidy at first, yet it didn’t seem properly cleaned. The towels were paper thin, the metal lamps were very rusty, paint was chipping all over, and I found three bugs: a roach, a beetle, and something tiny I couldn’t catch. In building 4, first floor, the hallway ceiling had missing and damaged tiles, and the smoke detector chirped all night with a low battery. The place was hard to find, with all the exterior lights off and EconoLodge on the sign out front. The front desk is unavailable between 11pm and 7am, so there’s no help then. They also ask for a refundable $50 cash deposit at check-in, saying they don’t have a card reader. That wasn’t in my confirmation email, despite their claim that it should have been. I was glad I came alone and didn’t bring my family.

Roaches were everywhere, on the floor, walls, and in the microwave. Each time we came back and turned on the lights, at least five were crawling around. I’ve lived in Florida my whole life and know bugs can happen, but this was way beyond that. The mattresses had no waterproof covers and smelled intensely musty, like people had been stomping on them in shoes for hours. The bathroom in our first room was dirty and there were no sheets on the bed. We switched rooms, and the bathroom looked cleaner on the surface, but I stepped on a thick rusty screw sticking out of the floor after my shower. A $50 cash deposit wasn’t disclosed at check-in, and there wasn’t an ATM in the lobby. Two doors that were supposed to require keycards could just be opened without one. The parking lot had trash and potholes, and sketchy people were walking around late at night. A friend and I booked this for an Orlando festival after our other hotel cancelled, since it was similarly priced. I’ve stayed in plenty of cheap hotels, and this was the worst. It felt unsafe and unsanitary. Spend a few extra dollars on any other cheap hotel nearby.

I booked an 11-night stay at 10:48 PM after OYO customer service clearly told me check-in was open until midnight. I arrived at 11:05, but the entire building was locked and there was no way to check in. I called OYO to cancel so I wouldn’t be charged as a no-show, but they didn’t do it. Fourteen days later, I was still trying to get my money back, and no one could say when the refund would come. Less than five minutes after I posted this review, my refund was “coincidentally” denied. I’d give less than one star if I could. Beware this hotel. If you want to pay for a room you never get access to, this is the place. OYO is a con operation.
