Westgate Leisure Resort

The room was spotless, and the glassware in the kitchen may have been the shiniest I’ve ever seen. We liked the layout, the comfortable bed, and the screened balcony where we could sit outside. The property is peaceful, with mature trees all around, and it felt much better than an overcrowded hotel. It’s also close to Universal, SeaWorld, and Discovery Cove. We’d asked ahead for a quiet room on the third floor. Manuel at the front desk explained they couldn’t assign rooms before check-in, but he noted our request. When we arrived, the one-bedroom rooms were sold out, so he gave us a two-bedroom at no extra charge, on the third floor and beside the pool. Everything looked as pictured, and we slept well. Unfortunately, a family emergency meant we had to leave a day early. Manuel was kind and understanding, and helped us communicate with Expedia so we could get the second night refunded. We also had to change our Discovery Cove reservations and arrange to return another time. He was wonderful throughout, and we’ll book with Westgate Leisure again. I hope we can stay longer next time.

The pool area looked inviting and well cared for, though it was too cold for us to use it. We did enjoy the coffee area and recreational space. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made preparing meals and snacks easy. We came to Orlando for a cheerleading competition, and it was great to return each day to somewhere quiet and comfortable. We were upgraded to a remodeled two-bedroom, two-bath apartment. It was spacious, modern, very clean, and cozy, with three brand-new TVs, one in each bedroom and one in the living room. The impact-resistant windows helped make it feel safe and quiet. Diego was kind, professional, and attentive, and checked that we had what we needed. His warm manner made a difference. The apartment and service exceeded what we expected, and we’d happily return. I’d recommend it to families coming to Orlando for competitions or other events.

Manuel, Diego, and Ivana at the front desk were friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, had the cookware and dishes I needed, and looked like the photos online. I did spot some small bugs while cooking and a few tiny flying insects by the bathtub, which was the one downside.

Diego, Ivana, and Salome were personable, friendly, and professional. I asked them for a few kitchen things we needed and for information, and even wondered if I was being a pest, but they seemed glad to help. The newly refurbished unit was beautiful and well furnished, and the firm bed was very comfortable. One of our best stays in Florida. Great staff and property.
