Skaket Beach Motel

I took a course down the road and liked being able to walk to the Cape Cod Institute at the middle school, about a mile away. The location also made driving to the school or around town easy. I mainly dealt with one of the owners, who was warm and friendly. They let me add a night to my stay and charged even less than the rate I’d booked months earlier through a travel site. The room was much more spacious than I expected, and everything looked new and clean, especially the bathroom. It has the usual amenities. Breakfast is basic, with orange juice in tiny cups, warm muffins, cereal, and coffee that was serviceable but not great. It’s a motel, sure, but one of the nicest I’ve stayed in for a while.

I arrived after 10 pm for work and was worried the office might be closed. They’d left a note on the door with my room number, letting me know it was ready for me and my crew. The room was amazing, very clean, and everything seemed brand new. There were extra sheets, a microwave, and a fridge. They also made room for my 36 foot box truck. I’ll definitely stay here whenever I’m in the area. Thank you.

You can tell the owners take pride in this place. It’s an older motel, but the rooms are spacious and clean, with no carpet. Breakfast is simple, just juice, muffins, cereal, and coffee. It’s easy to find, and I can see why people come back.

I decided on the spur of the moment to head to the beach during peak Cape Cod season and found this motel on Hotels.com. You never know what you’ll get in that situation, but this place turned out to be a gem. My room had new furniture, fixtures, and bedding, plus a comfortable bed and pillows. It was clean, well stocked, and the bathroom was spotless. Everything has been recently updated. It has the basics, and you can see the owners care. They spent the weekend working around the property and looking after guests. The parking lot was freshly sealed, and the older pool was clean and nice. The flower beds were full of fresh flowers. Downtown is walkable, and biking is another good option. I went to Nauset beach, where there was plenty of parking. Even the lot closest to the water still had spaces around 10:30 am, before it got busier. If you’re after a decent, clean, comfortable place and don’t mind a renovated property, this is a good choice.
