Ocean Waves - Ocean Front at Symphony Beach Club

The beach and the view were the only good parts. The place was dirty, the rooms tiny, and everything felt janky or broken. It was definitely not as advertised. The pull-out queen couch was actually a twin futon, and the queen bed was really a full-size Murphy bed. The Wi-Fi didn't work, the TV was broken, and the shower had mold. It didn't drain properly, so you stood in water, and the knob kept falling off. The furniture was unstable and partly broken. We gave up two nights and moved somewhere else. I didn't even care that we got no refund. Did I mention how dirty it was? 0/10.

The room looked like it was being held together with caulk and hope. The walls were thin, and there were roaches. I've stayed in Motel 6 places that were nicer, and I wouldn't let my dog stay here. It seems like a family has let the hotel and rooms run into the ground without caring how they look. They should be ashamed to let people stay here when I'm sure they wouldn't stay here themselves.

We had to buy batteries for the remote. There's no one here in person, just a code to get the key, though they still leave out an envelope for a tip. The room is closet-sized, and once you pull down the Murphy bed there's no room to move. We didn't know about the bed until we arrived.

Getting in was easy. The email explains what to do, and the place was right by the beach, close to everything. We still had a great trip and had a blast, so for the money it was doable. The room was much smaller than we expected, with only a partial beach view. The recliner couch shown in the photos had been replaced by an uncomfortable futon, which sat in front of the very small TV. It wasn't a smart TV and there were hardly any channels, so we didn't watch it. The bed comes down from a closet, which we knew, but its mattress was hard, and the blankets were so thin we went out and bought a comforter. The pictures were a little misleading. The dresser area and baseboards were grimy, with black marks, and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. We had a dustpan but no broom, LOL. You can tell some rooms have better stuff. We were disappointed with ours and hope they update it for future guests. I've seen other reviews about this specific room, too.
