Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oro Valley-Tucson North by IHG

I had a quiet three-night stay, which is unusual for a hotel. The room was spacious and spotless, the bathroom was nice, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is modern and stylish, in a great spot by the beautiful Catalina Mountains. Parking was free and plentiful, and the area was easy to get around. The breakfast room was spacious and pleasant. The continental breakfast was fine, and everything was clean and organized. The staff were friendly and very nice. I’d stay again and recommend it to anyone.

For the price, this is a really good stay in the area. My room had an old-fashioned charm, nothing fancy, but it was spacious and very tidy. It was also quiet and low-key, which I appreciated. The team was attentive and made me feel at home. A solid pick if you care more about warm service than pricey modern extras.

Breakfast was the saving grace, and the attendant was very personable. I also liked the location between downtown and Oro Valley. The hotel itself isn’t modern: the beds are quite hard, the AC is still built into the wall with no thermostat, and there are no USB outlets, so bring a wall plug. If hard beds aren’t for you, this may not be the place.

We only stayed one night, but the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our clean, roomy room looked out over the pool and Catalina Hills, and the bed and pillows were wonderful. There’s a Chili's across the parking lot, so we didn’t need to drive anywhere else for food. Breakfast had plenty of hot and cold choices, and Miguel was very friendly while keeping everything replenished. We’ll definitely come back!
