Virage Hotel

Newly renovated rooms and friendly staff made for a nice stay. The pool was heated, and there was live music beside it. Breakfast was good too. Coffee fans will like the lobby machine, with several cappuccino, latte and chocolate options. Only drawback was that there wasn't any decaf.

We weren't right on the beach, but the place still had a definite beach feel. Our room looked over the pool, which turns purple at night and looks beautiful. There's a little tiki bar by the pool with a liquor license, so the nighttime ambiance was just what I wanted. The restaurant inside serves excellent food, and they also put out breakfast by the pool in the morning. Great place!

The room was a pleasant surprise after we checked in at a different hotel and went around to the one behind Bentley’s Botique. We expected a letdown, but it was spacious, very clean and a fantastic deal, with plenty of towels, pillows and toiletries. One small thing: the sign that usually says “Do not disturb” apparently says “Room service please,” so our bed wasn't made and we didn't get fresh towels. I should have read it more carefully. They brought extra towels anyway, so it was fine. I took the photos after checking the bedding for stains or bugs, though it had been made perfectly before my OCD kicked in. The gym was closed, so be aware of that during covid times. We skipped breakfast since it was in the other hotel, but they offer two free passes if that's your thing. It was a really nice, quiet place to get away. It's not pet friendly, so we'll probably look elsewhere when we bring the pups, but otherwise it's a hidden gem.

The pool was nice, and the Tiki bar had good food and drinks at more than reasonable prices. We stayed six nights. The room was fresh and clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was as good as at many restaurants. We were on the ground floor, and although the windows had blinds, adding drapes would help keep the room dark at night.
