Beachfront Alpine Chalets

The private beach access was a highlight, and the place was a good value for its size, amenities, and privacy. I've stayed twice and expect I'll come back. It's simple, cozy, clean, pet friendly, and quiet, with everything we needed. The only hiccup was the Wi-Fi going down on our first night. The hosts responded quickly and got it fixed, and everything else worked great.

The beach was an easy walk down, and the little house was just right for us. We had a relaxed Spring break, with Newport and Depot Bay both nearby and 101 right there. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and it was great that dogs could come too. The washer and dryer weren't available, which was the one downside. The walk back up from the beach was a bit tougher, but still worth it.

Our kids had a blast boogie boarding in the waves by the stairs, and I surfed down the beach at Otter Rock each day. The grounds crew worked hard to make sure we were comfortable. These cozy A-frames are a nice fit for a small family or a couple of people after a laid-back beach trip. A few kitchen items could use updating, but that wasn't what we were there for. We loved the sunsets, smiles, and feel of the OR coast. I'd personally pick chalet #7 or #8.

I've been making memories here for 26 years. The staff are great, and the location is amazing, with lots of space, lovely views, and a fantastic path straight to the ocean and Devils Punch bowl. Getting an early check-in and late checkout was a real bonus.
