Courtyard Oxford

During the ice storm Fern 2026, the hotel did outstanding work with the limited resources it had, providing warm food to the community and making it as comfortable as possible for people to get through it. I really appreciate it. The staff are top tier at customer service and always help with a smile.

The room was affordable and clean, and the shower pressure was excellent. The location is great, just minutes from the airport and close to everything. Staff were friendly and accommodating. I also appreciated being able to call and reach the on-site front desk, instead of spending 30 minutes with a call center in India.

This wasn't worth $200 a night, especially for a Marriott. The place felt like a roadside motel, and I was really disappointed. At check-in, our tub had gross stuff all over it, the sink handles kept unscrewing and falling off, and there were random stains around the room that looked like they could come off with a Clorox wipe. The cleaning was only half done. Our friend in the next room found the previous guest's trash still in the bathroom bin. We both reported the problems downstairs, and the front desk said a cleaner was still there and would come fix them. Nobody came during the next eight hours while we were out. The following day, we left for six hours without putting up DND signs, but neither room had been cleaned when we returned. I know hospitality work is tough, so I hate writing a bad review about hotel staff, but this stay was not good.

The room was old and dirty, and I was very disappointed. I've been here five days and my room hasn't been cleaned once. I asked the front desk on day four and was told it would be done, but it was untouched when I came back that night. The supposedly high-speed Wi-Fi is slow and keeps dropping, so there's no way to work from here. The old-style AC unit against the wall leaves the room feeling damp. The open shower has only half a glass door, and the pressure is so strong that water gets all over the bathroom, which stays wet. This is the worst Courtyard I've stayed at by far, and I'll probably avoid Marriott in the future.
