Oxford Inn

The owner was nice and accommodated our late arrival, but for what we paid over parents weekend, the facilities weren't very good. On our first night we found carpenter ants in the bed. The tub drained poorly, so we stood in ankle deep water while showering. There weren't fresh linens for our second day. 😞

We really enjoyed our stay and will absolutely book again. The room was very clean and smelled freshly cleaned, and the parking lot was spacious and tidy. The front desk woman was lovely, and the housekeeper went above and beyond for us and was very personable. There were a few minor blemishes, but the place was still nice. It was amazing to find somewhere like this.

We made it about 45 minutes before leaving. At first the room seemed clean, though there was a faint smoky smell. The bathroom didn't look too bad at a glance, but then I saw a huge clump of hair on the shower drain. Clearly, that hadn't been cleaned. When the air conditioner came on, the faint smoke smell turned into what you'd get in a 90s bar, along with a strong urine smell. It was like a dive bar in the 90s. Thank goodness we found one of the last rooms in town during move out weekend.

I found my new safe haven for my yearly trips to Oxford. The place has been renovated and is clean, with small town hospitality close to Miami University and downtown Oxford. I arrived before check in and was welcomed with a smile and given my key. There's abundant free parking, a strong A/C and heating unit, hot water with great pressure, a fridge, coffee maker, microwave, large flatscreen TV, WIFI, a variety of toiletries, and thick white towels.
