The staff are generally friendly, and I haven't had a problem with anyone at the casino. The other table games seem to be running whenever I visit, but roulette is often unavailable. I only go to the casino, not the hotel, and I like playing roulette. They have a live table, no electronic version, and it's open for limited hours. Several times I've made the trip and found no roulette game to play. It'd be nice to have a couple of live wheels with a choice of lower or higher minimums and table limits. They mentioned before that they were approved for an Obsidian roulette pod. I hope that happens.

We drove two hours hoping to have fun, but security turned us away because we were Canadian tourists and said we needed our passports to enter. We'd never needed passports at any of the casinos we'd visited in the States. Now we had to drive back to our hotel.

The blackjack tables were the highlight for me. The rules at both the low and high limit tables are great for players, and I had a really good time traveling here from out of state. Staff were wonderful. A few dealers were new and a bit slower, but it wasn't too bad. I enjoyed the slots too, though table games are where it's at. I plan to return soon, and next time I'll stay in a room. The ID check at the door was my one gripe, though it worked out since I planned to play rated anyway.

I left without playing a single hand, and my first visit to Oxford Casino will be my last. After driving an hour and a half to play higher limit blackjack, I felt brushed off and disrespected. I had brought $5,000 and look specifically for $100+ minimum tables with no mid-shoe entry because I value consistency. The lower minimum tables were chaotic, with people joining and leaving every few minutes, so I waited for the one $100 table that had no mid-shoe entry. There was a player still at the table, so I politely waited for the shoe to end. When I sat down, the dealer immediately said it was a “private table.” I apologized and stepped away, but it didn't seem right, so I asked the pit boss how I could open a private table for myself. That's when I learned Oxford Casino doesn't offer private tables at all. The dealer had simply lied to me. Had they known I was ready to sit down with $5,000, I'm sure the interaction would've been different. I'll stick with casinos that value their players. Encore Boston and The Nash in Nashua, NH have always treated me professionally and respectfully.

A day after we checked out, we realized we'd left my husband's shirts in the closet. I called the hotel, and Brittany got back to me right away. They found the shirts and could ship them to us. I was so impressed by the service and the staff's honest integrity. My husband and I had stayed there for his birthday. Our room was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and we had good food at the Pub with great service. We highly recommend the hotel and will visit again soon.
