Sandaway Suites & Beach

We stayed in a deluxe suite with a bay view, and the private screened-in porch was what sold me. The suite was well appointed, and the service was excellent. Just be aware the shower is pretty small if you're taller or larger. Sandaway is lovely, quiet, and serene, with beautiful views and shops and restaurants within walking distance in quiet Oxford. It's a great place to relax and recharge for a night or two. If you're after a busy resort type of place, this isn't for you.

There are binoculars available to watch birds and boats along the Tred Avon River, and there's a Level 2 charger behind the main building on the left if you're in a EV. There's only one at the moment, though another has been installed and is waiting to be wired up. Keep in mind the inn is adults only. Sandaway Suites and Beach is family owned, and that hands on care really shows in the little details. One morning I took our carafe to the main office to fill it, and found a full carafe of coffee in a bag hanging on our room door. Coffee makers are in the rooms, and more coffee is brewed each morning in the front office. The rooms were clean and well maintained, with basic soap and shampoo and a small fridge. The property and inn both seemed well kept, and there are several rooms, each with amazing views. It's within easy walking distance of a restaurant, ice cream shop, and local market. My wife kept saying how gorgeous the inn was and made me promise we'd stay again when we're back this way.

We came away grateful for the hospitality and are already looking forward to returning. When my mom left her sunglasses behind by accident, the staff mailed them to us and wouldn't take any payment. Sandaway is a beautiful property with great amenities, and the town is charming. It's just right for slowing down and unwinding.

Ben was a huge help with our last-minute booking, and check-in was quick and easy. He also shared great dinner recommendations, and we enjoyed them. The room was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the peaceful setting at Sandaway Suites and Beach. Sitting on the cozy screened-in porch and relaxing in the grass overlooking the tranquil river were both lovely, so it was hard to pick a favorite. The amazing location was just what we needed for a calm, relaxing getaway. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we'll be back!
