Martine Inn

The best part was having our privacy. Nobody bothered us, which we really appreciated. Two families rented rooms, and we had a nice shared area between them with a table, couch, and chairs where we could eat, talk, and spend time together. The room felt like home, and the bed was amazing, comfortable, strong, and sturdy. It handled everything perfectly 😄. I'm sure breakfast will be great too. We really liked our stay.

My boyfriend and I thought staying at the Martine Inn was one of our best hotel experiences. We had Marie's Room, and the furniture and view were something else. Everything was beautifully put together. Breakfast was lovely, and the staff seemed to truly enjoy their work. Loved it!

The location is the only redeeming part for us. We were excited about a nice getaway, but the stay was a huge disappointment and nothing like the photos or website. For $250, it felt like a waste. We felt so gross we skipped showering, got up, and left. A motel would've been cleaner. Our room was in disrepair, with broken or failing furniture, ceiling cracks, cobwebs, and spiders. The door and window latches were fragile or breaking. The A/C and heating unit seemed decorative, and we had no heat all night, so we slept in two or three layers. The blankets were thin, there was no duvet, and we worried the bed frame might fall apart. We also wondered if the corner shown in the first picture had black mold, since we both woke with sore throats and slept very poorly. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but I'm genuinely confused by the 5-star ratings and think the place needs to be more transparent. Maybe it was a great B&B once, but it feels very neglected now. Save your money!

Waking to the sound of crashing waves, just steps from Lovers Point, felt magical. The location is unbeatable. Casey greeted me warmly when we arrived and gave a thoughtful tour. The room brought historical elegance together with comfort, and the whole stay at the Martine Inn felt flawless.
