The staff were wonderful, and I felt safe in the city during my two-night stay at Moxy, right in the middle of everything. The facility was clean and the rooftop views were excellent. But the two-bed Queen room and its vibe aren't ones I'd recommend for older clients, around 70. The lighting was poor and the bathroom sink small, though there were plenty of grab bars. I never found the restaurant, and some amenities I like were missing. If you just want to sleep, shower, and go out, it'll do. Staff, keep up the good work!

The room was cozy and just the right size for a night or two. We were across the street from the Spectrum Center, surrounded by other concertgoers, and the atmosphere was great. People gathered at the bar before and after the show for drinks and conversation. This was the perfect place for us, and I'm becoming a big fan of Moxy hotels.

The rooftop bar is great, and so are the staff. The room was okay, but not very comfortable for working on a computer. I took my laptop up to the bar instead and got much more comfortable there. There’s no closet, though I didn’t mind since there are hangers and places to put clothes.

I liked the 24/7 gym on the fourth floor, especially the filtered water station. The room setup won’t suit everyone: it’s minimalist, with no closet or everything pre-stocked, though I preferred the shared stash cabinet on each floor for extra toiletries and supplies. The chair was hard to sit in and get up from, and didn’t work well at the desk. The fold-down desk attached to the wall was a nice feature. I stayed four days for work, and it was my first Moxy after many Marriott stays. It has a different feel from the usual chain hotel. Check-in is at the bar, where they offered a welcome cocktail. Staff were great and helpful whenever I had questions. The 13th floor has space to work on a laptop, a bar that also serves as the restaurant, plus games on the patio and in the lounge. The food selection is limited, with a separate breakfast menu. Morning coffee is complimentary. There are plenty of downtown restaurants nearby if the Moxy menu isn’t your thing. I’ll definitely come back.

The location made this an easy choice for an event. The hotel is within walking distance of the Carolina Panthers’ Bank of America Stadium and directly across from the Hornets Arena. Its prices were competitive, too. I’d stay at The Moxy Hotel again, especially for the social rooftop bar and check-in area, where you can watch events. My room felt compact but still spacious, with a bathroom and shower design I liked. It had no refrigerator or closet, though there were plenty of clothing racks. The lighting had a retro look, and the room’s unusual style seems suited to guests coming for basketball games. There’s a hallway “stash room” with extra towels, toothbrushes, and other supplies, and an iron is available if you’d rather not use the steamer. Check-in is on the 13th floor at a stylish bar setup. I received a complimentary drink token, and as an ambassador member I also got extra drinks and points. The bar serves appetizers and other food, which added to the stay.
