The beach is close, there are two nice beds, and one room has a TV with apps we could use by logging in to our own accounts. There were also inflatable extra beds in case our group needed more space. Those were the main pluses, along with the decent rooms and location. The drawbacks were still significant, though, and the price felt high for what we got. The pool was very dirty and the hot tub didn’t work. One bathroom’s shower curtain was broken and lying on the floor when we arrived. We managed without it for the week. The laundry area had no detergent, so we had to buy some. The shower often made a prolonged, high-pitched squeal, and a hanger fixture on the bathroom door made it hard to close, and loud when it did. For the price and quality, I think we’d have been better off booking two nice hotel rooms with a good view, clean working pools, and food in the morning and at dinner, and still had money left after four days. In response to the owner: I doubt that comparison. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels. They aren’t necessarily as loud as you might think, and at least their showers don’t squeal. They include shampoo and conditioner, often more, and have food available, especially when they’re quality controlled. Hotel prices can also come down with apps, perks, bundles and deals, so four days in two rooms could still cost less than renting this condo.

A lovely rental for a vacation, with a small pool and hot tub. It’s just one block from the beach, and there’s a gas station and coffee shop across the street. Super convenient! My family would definitely stay here again.

The condo let us relax and make meals comfortably, and Andrew helped with all my questions so we could have a good family vacation. We ran into a few small issues early on, but he handled them professionally and made sure we secured the two condos we’d originally requested. His units had amenities, and nearby stores within walking distance made it easy to buy anything missing. His three-bedroom condo is gorgeous. I wish the other two-bedroom unit had the same style, though it was still cozy. The location is great, but the pricing felt steep and much higher than a hotel. I’d rent from him again.

This place and its owner are a joke. We booked through a third-party service, then found out 72 hours before the visit that we had to pay hundreds more: extra charges for amenities already listed, including pool use and parking, plus a security deposit and cleaning fees, and we had to sign a rental agreement. The booking companies don’t show those extra costs upfront. They came by text just 72 hours before our trip. If you cancel, you lose what you’ve already paid. When I contacted the rental company to see about changing dates or getting even a partial refund, they told me to contact the owner. Andrew texted that he had $2,000 in expenses to worry about and I wasn’t getting my money back. If you can hand over another $500, go ahead and stay, but these mandatory extras were already presented as amenities. He extorts money, is rude and very unfriendly and unprofessional. You can’t talk to him, only text. I’d never want to stay here or recommend it.

The condo was cozy and suited our family of six. Chad, Lily and the team at South Padre Trips made our stay at Los Cabos a great experience, and we appreciated their communication. The beach is about a minute’s walk away. Stripes is right across from the condo for last-minute things, and Island Market is one street over. If you check in at the office down Gulf Boulevard, you can rent a buggy at a discount as a Los Cabos guest. We’ve had good Airbnb experiences so far, and are already looking forward to coming back to South Padre with Chad and the team.
