Comfort Suites Paducah Mall Area

The location was spot on, near the highway, mall, and Walmart. We were on the third floor and used the elevator often without having to wait, and we used the small gym twice. The room decor was good, the bed comfortable, it smelled nice, and it had basic appliances. Check-in went smoothly, although the receptionist didn't seem happy to see us and could use more customer service training. We stayed two nights over Christmas weekend. Breakfast was free, but we didn't try it. The cleaning could be better: carpets around the hotel and in the room needed vacuuming, the elevators needed wiping down, and the floors needed mopping.

The rooms were nice for a mid-budget hotel, the property was clean, and staff were helpful and pleasant. Its location right off the interstate was convenient. We picked this place specifically because of the indoor pool, only to find it was closed. With so many hotels nearby, we wouldn't have booked here if we'd known. The stay was hugely disappointing, and the room was worth only about two-thirds of what we were charged.

We asked for another room after finding caked urine on the toilet, a feces smell, and brown stains on the bedspread in Room 202. The grumpy front desk guy in the “I’m sorry. I’m late” t-shirt didn't apologize, just handed us another key and said, “Try 302.” It was late, so we took it, didn't unpack, and slept in our clothes. We got up early hoping to grab something from the complimentary breakfast before leaving, but the oranges and bread were spoiled. I tried making a waffle, though the batter and syrup were both watered down. There was a sign at the desk saying nobody was available, so we left and are sharing our concerns here instead.

Our stay was a disappointment. The bathroom wasn't clean, the sink wouldn't drain, and the hot water never warmed up. We asked for fresh towels, but they didn't bring any, so we had to go to the desk ourselves. There was trash under the pull-out bed, and the hot tub wasn't working. Breakfast was cold, and coffee was the only drink available. I don't drink coffee, so the stay wasn't a good one.
