The location works really well for local activities, and there’s safe parking. Check-in was easy, breakfast was great, and the updated rooms look good. The bed was a big disappointment, though, easily the hardest I’ve ever had at an IHG. There was no comfort in it at all.

I was pleased with the stay, especially the reception team’s excellent service and willingness to honor my request for a room with a view. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was nice. The property also has good accessibility and several entry points.

The rooms were clean, but sound carried easily. I could clearly hear a baby crying, people talking in nearby rooms, and guests walking outside, which made the stay less comfortable. The location is excellent and convenient for exploring Page. Check-in left a poor first impression: I arrived close to noon, and even as a Platinum Elite member I was firmly told check-in was at 3 pm, with no flexibility or attempt to see whether a room was available. I understand rooms aren’t always ready, but the interaction felt cold and unwelcoming. I had to leave and come back around 4.

The ladies at the front desk were pleasant when we checked in Saturday 10/11, and they let us in early so our son could change for his football game later that afternoon. The room was nice and up to IHG standards. The fridge was noisy, so we unplugged it rather than bother the staff. We stayed one night. The fire alarm went off around 6 am Sunday 10/12, probably because the bacon in the kitchen was overcooked. Breakfast had several problems. The little omelets were still cold, the bacon was overcooked, and the oatmeal was hard and uncooked from the middle to the bottom of the pot. I told the breakfast attendant, and she apologized. About 30 minutes into service, food ran out twice, leaving guests waiting around. The food and beverage department could really use time management training. The beverage station with flavored water and lemonade was very nice. Not every IHG hotel has that, and it was a nice touch. I was surprised the cookies were out so early, around 1 pm, and individually wrapped. At Holiday Inn Express, cookie hour is usually in the evening, with hot or warm cookies for guests. The pool was cold and not heated. I’m not sure if they turn off the heat in certain seasons, but a sign saying the pool isn’t heated would help guests.
