Mauna Kai'iki

The staff were awesome, and the room was clean with a full kitchen. There's a nice pool and hot tub too. It's a quiet, lovely place within walking distance of the black sand beach, and a great base for exploring the south end.

Beautiful views, with the ocean and volcanoes nearby. The location is pretty good, away from the cities and close to small-town island life. Rooms were clean and the service was great. Worth a visit to appreciate it.

The place was so well kept, clean, and updated that settling in felt easy. We were a little unsure about the lack of air conditioning at first, since the listing mentioned it, but it wasn't an issue at all. The cross-breezes kept the unit comfortably cool the whole time, and having fresh sea air come through was lovely. From the balcony, the panoramic ocean views were a treat, and we woke to the sound of the waves. We absolutely loved this relaxing oceanfront condo and would recommend it to anyone looking for peace and gorgeous views.

The unit was clean, and we had no complaints about the accommodation. We used the grill twice and the washer and dryer twice, and the gentleman who checked us in was pleasant. The secluded location had a lovely view and was close to Black Sand Beach. The breeze was nice, so we didn't need the air conditioner. One thing really bothered us: an older man with a walker regularly smoked weed in the designated smoking zone, and the stench drifted into our room every day from sunrise until past sunset throughout our vacation. We also had one creepy visitor, a flying American cockroach, which my husband smashed with his bare hands.
