Ophelia is a sweetheart, gracious and accommodating. I stayed in the Dolphin Suite from April 24 - 27, 2025. It was spacious, clean, free of bugs, and had all the comforts of home, plus a comfortable outdoor patio. For the price, the facility and location can't be beat. This is a good place to rest, clean up, eat, and head out on adventures. If you're after high-end resort amenities, look elsewhere. As someone who's traveled a lot, I found this Island Paradise spot perfect for me and will stay again.

After six places couldn't help us when our accommodation fell through late at night, Island Paradise Inn's owner called back just before midnight with a room available. What a relief. She was one of the warmest, nicest people I've met. The room was lovely, almost like having our own apartment, with a kitchenette and big bathroom. Great customer service, and I'd recommend it for a good night's rest. Thank you so much!

Ophellia was an awesome host, and the room was clean and a great price, more like a bungalow. It's right in the center of Pahoa town. A friend referred me here on my first trip back to the Big Island in 20x years. Thanks again, Ophellia, I really appreciate your hospitality. Pretty sure this hidden gem won't stay hidden for long.

The owner is great, and you can't beat the place for the price. I've only seen one bad review, and I'm sure that person just complains wherever they go, so pay no attention to it. Just saying.
