PGA National Resort

The property is beautiful, and I wish we'd had time to explore the spa. My rating is closer to 3.5. We were there for a weekend celebrating my husband's birthday, booked through The Edit with Chase Sapphire Reserve, and received the $100 credit and $60 daily breakfast credit, but no room upgrade or welcome gift. The room let me down. We had to ask for the bedding to be changed because there was blood on it, and the bathroom trash can also had blood stains. For a five-star resort, I expected more comforts in the room, based on other five-star places I've stayed. The staff were kind from the moment we arrived for valet. I booked my husband a private lesson and a tee time on The Fazio. The Golf Academy team responded quickly and made recommendations for what we needed. Steve Haggerty was a great golf trainer and good company, with helpful tips to improve my husband's swing. We'll be heading to a range to practice what he taught. After our tee time we cooled off at the pool. There was a DJ and some kind of animal encounter, which felt unique. They also have Banyan Buddies for kids, and I'd be happy to bring our daughter back to see what it's like. We ate at Birdies Diner and had breakfast at Honeybelle. I'd stick with Honeybelle, since the diner felt a little too basic, though that's just my preference. At dinner at the Butchers Club, the host was so sweet when seating us, but I think you can get a better steak elsewhere. Maybe my expectations were too high, but there are improvements to make. I loved the property and amenities, though the rooms could be better.

Our room was perfect, clean, and well maintained, and the staff made us feel welcome from arrival through checkout. One of my favorite parts was chatting over drinks and food at the lobby bar. JR took such good care of us every time we stopped by and helped make space for memories we'll keep. The service was phenomenal throughout the visit. My bestie and I want to make our girls trip to PGA National Resort a tradition, and we're already looking forward to seeing JR again. Thank you, JR and PGA National Resort!

The pool is amazing, though I wish it stayed open later. We had a great room and view, the food was great, and the staff were great too. Amazing property, and I'll definitely be back.

Beautiful hotel and an amazing experience, with the best staff. At check-in, Nick went out of his way to help us sort out a misprint on our copies. He's a great example of servant leadership. Aigerim was a huge help, and Eder got all our IT issues sorted out. Every server at our Summit was friendly and helpful, and they really exceeded expectations. I wish I'd kept better track of everyone's names. Thank you to the lovely artist who took the initiative to make the signage for our signature drink. In a world short on customer service, you all stood out and made a real difference to our event. Thank you!
