Sand Dune Shores

This time share has a peaceful setting, with three spots to relax just a few steps apart: the pool, cabanas, and beach. Rich and Karen were friendly and helpful whenever I had questions or concerns. The Islander next door, in the hotel/time share, is the best nearby option for food, with great food and HH prices. Johnny Longboats, Two Drunken Goats, and other places are in a plaza about a three-minute walk away. Restaurants are within walking distance generally. I thought I’d add current pictures of unit #11, 12.03.2025. My only complaint is the clouds. I’m heading back to the gulf coast.

The beach is reached by a winding stepping-stone path, with a bench halfway and another at the end. We had a great time and would return. We stayed in rm 8, a 1 bd, which worked well for us because of the nearby handicap parking space. There’s a shower instead of a tub, which was good for bathing, and each unit comes with two beach chairs, so we didn’t have to bring our own. Staff were accommodating and knew the area well. They had donuts Monday morning and a wine and cheese get-together Wednesday. Loggerhead Marine Center is a must-see. I actually found the remains of a turtle nest after the hatchlings had emerged. It’s a small resort, I believe 18 units, with two stories in some areas and an upper observation area with lounge chairs. There’s one free parking space per unit. Two washers and dryers are available for $1.00 per load.

A cozy little beachfront resort with great hospitality and a nice pool. Everything is right by the beach, and you can walk to all the area restaurants.

We’ve stayed here twice and are planning to return next December. It’s an affordable, smaller family-oriented resort right on the beach, not a fancy place. There’s a pool, hot tub, cooking grills, free beach chairs and bikes, plus a reserved parking space at no charge. The kitchens are fully equipped. Several restaurants are an easy walk away. You can rent or buy weeks, but nobody pressures you to do that. We’ve made a lot of friends here.
