Holiday Inn Tarpon Springs

The room itself was the main issue for us. Its floors were extremely uneven, and we kept tripping or losing our balance. I’d stay again, but I’d ask for a different room. We visited over Thanksgiving weekend. It was an okay, affordable place, with lots of shops nearby and incredibly friendly, helpful staff. Big shoutout to Sabrina, who works hard keeping breakfast and the main lobby in order. Breakfast had waffles, yogurt, bagels, orange juice, and the condiments you might need. There’s also a laundry room, with soap for $1 at the front desk and machines that cost $3 each. The walls are very, very thin. I could hear people walking in the creaky hallways and conversations next door, so it may not suit someone looking for quiet. The AC is really loud, though I personally liked the white noise.

Mary from the breakfast staff was delightful, a bright, helpful presence who kept the breakfast area clean and stocked each morning. The hotel is nice, clean, and spacious. Its design is a little dated, but in a charming old-fashioned art deco way, with modern touches. I’d stay again and highly recommend it.

After riding 40 miles on the Pinellas Trail, we were exhausted, and Dave made us feel right at home when he checked us in. The hotel is incredibly close to the trail, so it was a perfect place to land. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the on-site bar and free breakfast were just what we needed to recover. Can’t recommend it enough to fellow cyclists!

The location is decent, and the staff were friendly. The price was reasonable too. But there were a lot of problems in the room. We found a used band aid in the bed, the toilet leaked slowly onto the floor, and the closet door wouldn’t close. The furniture and everything else looked very outdated, even the lamps seemed to be rusting. Wi-Fi was spotty and kept dropping, so I had to reconnect several times during our trip. Breakfast was extremely limited, even for a continental breakfast. Getting out was also hard during busy times like rush hour.
